Snowflakes were drifting softly in the air and blanketing the ground as high school sweethearts, Ben and Brittany, recited their wedding vows. There was a level of excitement in the air that could be felt by all that was present – partially due to the storm that had been brewing in Lake Tahoe for days. The Storm had created quite an adventure for all to make it to the ceremony, but you really couldn’t have asked mother nature for a better backdrop for such a perfect day! It was a photographers dream… at least for these photographers.
This is the first time we have ever broken up a wedding blog post into two parts. At first, we thought it was a genius idea because it would allow us to post more pictures and speed up the blogging process. Going through 900+ images and choosing which to post is not an easy decision. However, we quickly realized that the second blog post lacked a starting a point. Where do you begin when you are trying to tell a story and your starting in the middle? Or is it the middle of the story? At first we said “yes” because isn’t the ceremony in the middle of the wedding day but the more we thought about it the more we realized that “no” the ceremony is actually the beginning of a very beautiful story. It is the story before the story. It is the beginning of Ben and Brittany’s life together as husband and wife. It is the start of their next chapter and who knows where the story will go from here!
